You Never Know
Adaline Moore
You never know... Turns out the crumbs were good for something.
Turned them into a song.
👻 It’s finally here.
I spent years trying to understand someone who never gave me answers.
The replaying.
The self-doubt.
The mixed signals.
The breadcrumbs.
The love bombing.
The ghosting.
Over the past two years, the confusion became lyrics. The questions became songs. Before I knew it, I had written an entire album about my experiences with an avoidant.
I wrote through the confusion.
I wrote through the anger.
I wrote through the hope.
I wrote through the version of the story I wanted to be true.
And somewhere in all of that, something changed.
It stopped being about him.
It became about me.
About finding my way back to myself.
About seeing the difference between potential and reality.
About learning that closure doesn’t always arrive as an apology, an explanation, or one final conversation.
Sometimes closure is creating something beautiful out of everything that broke your heart.
So this is me releasing it.
All of it.
The Ghosts of August: Therapy is out now.
If you’ve ever loved the idea of someone, waited for answers that never came, or had to learn how to close a chapter without the ending you wanted…
This is for you. 🖤
You never know... Turns out the crumbs were good for something.
Turned them into a song.
For anyone who has ever loved an avoidant...
Thinking about replying to that 2:03 am text? Don’t. Play this instead.
Ever been ghostlit? This one’s for you. Should’ve let the dead rest. Somebody call an exorcist.
Because breadcrumbs no longer fill you up.
He said he was coming with his brother, but damn…his brother looks a lot like a woman.
